My research indicates that, on average, 46 baseballs are used per game.
That works out to about $216 in baseballs.
Since one hide from a milk cow provides, on average, sufficient leather to cover 108 baseballs, this per-game amount would work out to about 42% of a hide.
This factoid not only makes me long for the days back at the cattle ranch, but also makes me hungry something awful for a double double at In and Out Burger.
